Then as now, every VARIO business mobile serves as a brand ambassador in many locations. Customer proximity and those small everyday greetings have thus been ensured for decades. Information vehicles and promotion units were built, followed by bridge‑construction vehicles and police vehicles.
It was a natural step to follow our pioneering spirit in exclusive vehicle construction [since 1981] and transfer the expertise and quality standards of a first‑class motorhome to special‑purpose vehicle manufacturing. And so it happened that the first mobile library rolled out of the Bohmte production site in 1985.

VARIO Integral motorhomes already had the advantage at the time that the driver's cab could be incorporated into the living area by means of rotating driver and passenger seats.

In this form as VARIO Perfect 1200 built in the years 1995 - 2004 on VOLVO B 10 M. 12 m, 420 hp, mid-engine omnibus chassis, racing vehicle garage.
“Modern classic” is a term for vehicles that are not yet classic cars by definition – but are certainly on their way there. This also applies to the VARIO Perfect 1200 with a cantilevered car garage for your roadster, real wood interior, granite, high-end multimedia, a king-size bed under the starry sky, an excellent dream bathroom and many exclusive highlights.
Even the smaller versions of the premium VARIO Perfect on MAN and Mercedes‑Benz chassis are perfectly suited as tasting vehicles and business mobiles.
VARIO Semi-Trailer
VARIO Business 600 – 1350
Built as a semi‑trailer since 1985: as a body mounted on independent tractor units that can also be driven “solo” when required.
The semi‑trailer is a special type of construction similar to a trailer, transferring part of its weight onto the axles of a tractor unit. The tractor and semi‑trailer are connected via a so‑called fifth wheel and kingpin. Proven tractor units include, for example, the IVECO Daily 35 C 13 / double cab, the MB Sprinter 416 CDI / double cab, and the DODGE RAM pickup / quad cab. The conversions into tractor units were (and of course still are) carried out in our own workshop. For this purpose, a fifth‑wheel coupling was mounted on the towing vehicle, and a compressed‑air supply system for braking the semi‑trailer was installed.
The bodies were then individually constructed and fitted out in lightweight design on a galvanized sectional steel frame in the form of a trailer.

The original driver’s cab of the chassis is retained in the VARIO business alcove model, while the space above it — the so‑called alcove floor — is used as an additional sleeping area and gives this exclusive business vehicle its distinctive shape.
This made it possible to create mobile overnight workplaces and comply with working time regulations.
