Hello, I’ve just discovered that Vario Mobil still exists and wanted to briefly say thank you.

Thirty years ago, my parents bought our now 39-year-old Vario Mobil, and it has accompanied my sister and me throughout our entire lives, creating countless beautiful memories.

Today, we are still travelling with it – now together with our partners. And everything still works 🙂

How wonderful it is to read that this VARIOmobil on a VW T3 has been running reliably and continuously for 39 years now. After all, this leisure vehicle is one of the longest-serving motorhomes still on the road from Bohmte. Perhaps it even holds a (vehicle record?) as the oldest generation-spanning and continuously used family motorhome. At the time, motorhomes were not yet categorized into “types.” Since 1986, VARIOmobil has been building this vehicle concept with an overcab sleeping area under the brand name

VARIO Alkoven.
