With a self-built motorhome organizer<\/h2>

Getting a first taste of real working life \u2013 that was once again the guiding idea of the \u201cZukunftstag\u201d (Career Exploration Day)<\/strong> at the motorhome manufactory in Bohmte this year. Every year, pupils from grades 5 to 10 visit selected companies to gain practical insights into apprenticeship training and everyday working life.<\/p>

A highlight: the creative 3D motorhome project!<\/p>

\u201cThis year, a very special 3D project was on the agenda: the F<\/b>abrication of a desk organizer in VARIOmobil design<\/strong> for pens and a Post-it note block,\u201d says instructor Jana Michaelis with enthusiasm.<\/p>

The exciting internship day<\/strong> began with a guided tour of the company. Production manager Andr\u00e9 Wettstein not only introduced the fascinating working areas at VARIOmobil, but also provided a thorough safety briefing<\/strong>. Safety is the top priority in the manufacture of luxury motorhomes \u2013 just as it is when creating a handcrafted VARIOmobil-style desk organizer.<\/p>

After the informative introduction across all departments, it was time to get hands-on. Each year, on Girls\u2019<\/strong> and Boys\u2019 Day<\/strong>, the students take part in various workshops in the paint shop, carpentry, metal workshop, final assembly, the design department and, finally, documentation within office management. This provides a first comprehensive insight into the entire manufacturing process in vehicle construction \u2013 and into the creation of the motorhome desk organizer.<\/p>

In the design and engineering department, the young participants initially began with theory. B.Sc. Alexander Neven and Martina Schunke clearly explained the individual<\/p>

In the 3D CAD design department<\/strong>, the interns gained insight into the individual components of the organizer and created detailed drawings for production. They then immersed themselves in the world of assemblies and learned how individual camper parts are combined into a harmonious whole.<\/p>

Another important step was the painting of the aluminum components<\/strong>. Here, the students learned from former apprentice Jannis Hericks how surfaces are prepared and professionally painted. This was followed by work in the carpentry shop, where\u2014under the guidance of apprentices Leonie B\u00f6hmann and Michael Lenz (former cabinetmaking apprentice)\u2014wooden components were sanded and assembled<\/strong> to ensure the functional quality of the organizer.<\/p>

The deburring and drilling of the aluminum parts<\/strong> together with metalworking apprentice<\/strong> Evelyn Vogel marked another step toward completing the unique mini motorhome. These seemingly small tasks were crucial for the young future-makers and illustrated, in simplified form, the development process of a high-quality finished product.<\/p>

Finally came the exciting moment of assembling all components<\/b>. Under the guidance of young VARIOmobil employees, the students brought their work together into a finished motorhome desk organizer<\/strong>. The elegant appearance of a luxury motorhome<\/strong> was skillfully captured by mounting the parts onto a brushed stainless-steel carrier refined with laser engraving. By the end of the Zukunftstag, the organizers were complete and proudly filled by the participants. Post-it notes and Stabilo pens found their places in the compartments\u2014ready to organize desks and simplify everyday life. At the graphic workstation of Mag. phil. Jutta R\u00f6wer, the participants positioned motorhome design variants<\/strong> and designed a cover page using great photos. was not only an opportunity to learn hands-on skills, but also offered a brief insight into the world of our motorhome manufactory with exclusively individual production<\/strong>,\u201d says Frank Mix, Managing Director of VARIOmobil Fahrzeugbau GmbH. The students left the day with new experiences, inspired by the craftsmanship and dedication behind every VARIOmobil product.<\/p>\n
